Studies on flora and vegetation of Melik and Kaldırım Mountains and surrounding area (Manavgat - Ibradi / Antalya)

In this study, the flora and vegetation of Melik and Kaldırım Mountains and surrounding area were revealed. 5325 plant samples were collected and observed as regards the study between 2008 and 2011. As a result of the evaluation of the plant samples collected and observed, 402 genera, 902 species and 951 taxa belonging to 86 different families were identified. 10 taxa are new fort he C3 square. Out of the plant samples diagnosed 10 taxa belong to Pteridophyta and 941 taxa belong to Spermatophyta division. 9 Gymnospermae and 932 Angiospermae, which belong to the Spermatophyta division, belong to the subdivision of Angiospermae. From the subdivision of Angiospermae, 782 taxa belong to Magnoliopsida and 150 taxa belong to Liliopsida classes. 298 (31.3%) of the total taxa in the field are Mediterranean elements, 88 (9.3%) Irano-Turanian elements, 42 (4.4%) are European-Siberian elements and 523 (55.0%) are multi-regional or are taxa whose phytogeographical regions are unknown. The largest family in the research area is Asteraceae (117 taxa) and the largest genus is Trifolium (20 taxa) in terms of the number of taxa. Besides, in the area of study 176 (18.5%) endemic taxa were found.The vegetation of the research area was studies in accordance with the Braun ? Blanquet method. According to the data obtained from sample areas, 26 different kinds of associations, subassociations and communities diagnosed in the research field are presented below:Associations and subassociations of forest vegetation; 1- Phlomido leucophractae ?
