Özet (EN)

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women; In 2020, more than 2.26 million people worldwide were diagnosed with breast cancer and approximately 685 thousand people died due to this reason. Breast cancer is a heterogeneous disease with different behaviors and different molecular subtypes. TNM staging, grade, traditional prognostic indicators; It is the basis of individualized treatment. Many studies have reported that the interaction between tumor and host, including inflammation and immune response, plays an important role in tumor progression and prognosis. Pan-immune inflammation value (PIV) is a recently proposed scoring system that includes all immuneinflammatory cells in the peripheral blood count (neutrophil count x platelet count x monocyte count)/lymphocyte count). The aim of our study is to examine the effect of initially high PIV on prognosis in patients diagnosed with breast cancer. 134 female patients diagnosed with breast cancer were included in our study and the average age was 53. Lymph node metastasis was present in 85 (63.4%) of the patients and recurrence occurred during follow-up in 37 (27.6) patients. 30 (22.4%) of the patients died due to disease-related reasons. ROC analysis was performed for PIV. The cut-off value was determined as 296.5. PIV of 53 (39.6%) of the patients was >296.5, and 81 (60.4%) was <296.5. Conclusion; In patients diagnosed with breast cancer, higher PIV at baseline is associated with worse overall survival and worse recurrence-free survival. More comprehensive, multicenter studies are needed on this subject. KEYWORDS: Breast Cancer, İnflammation, Prognosis, Survival
