Abstract (EN)

We aimed to investigate the relationship of neoadjuvant chemotherapy efficacy with histopathological molecular subtypes, prognostic factors and factors affecting pathological complete response in patients with breast cancer. The investigation was performed in patients diagnosed with breast cancer and received neoadjuvant chemotherapy at Gaziantep University, Faculty of Medicine, Sahinbey Research and Application Hospital of and Dr.Ersin Arslan Training and Research Hospital between 02.02.2012 and 30.07.2021. Our study was carried out retrospectively with informations from patient files, data files on computer and archive records of pathology department. Demographic data of the patients analysed according to characteristic features of breast cancer subtypes, factors affecting the pathological complete response, disease-free survival and overall survival. A total of 183 patients were present in our double center study. According to molecular subtypes patients were classified as; hormone receptor positive and HER2 negative tumors were defined as luminal group, HER2 positive tumors as HER2 group, hormone negative and HER2 negative breast cancer patients were defined triple negative group classically. The number of patients in the groups were 102 in luminal, 61 in HER2, and 20 in triple negativere spectively.
