Özet (EN)

Aim: In this study, we retrospectively evaluated focal mass lesions diagnosed withmalignant and investigated diagnostic reliability of the staining curve in the malignantlesions.Material and Method: In our study, patients with focal mass lesions diagnosed withmalignant were retrospectively evaluated in between JANUARY 2005 ? NOVEMBER2008. Breast MR examination of all patients were realized with 1,5 T MR Device.Subtractive series assisting reveal of contrasting profile by making subtractions overdynamic images in conventional sequences taken after examinations were obtained.Mass lesions diagnosed with malignant were classified according to morphologicalfeatures, sizes, localizations, and histopathologic diagnoses and time-signal stainingcurve. Results: Mean age of all patients is 45.82. Masses are classified according to sizes andlocalizations. No relation was found between staining patterns and sizes of masses.Masses also were classified according to morphological features. It is found that 47.3%lesion has irregular shape when looked at shapes, 32.4% is irregular in total whenlooked at according to borders, 59.5% has spicule border and 83.8% has heterogeneoussignal features when evaluated according to signal features. We found that 97.2% ofmass lesions in total presents malign kinetic features depending upon theirhistopathologies when considered staining pattern percentages. Conclusion: We found that contrasting kinetics must be primarily considered formalignant; however diagnostic reliability will increase when considered withmorphological findings.Key words: breast cancer, cinetic curve, breast mr
