Abstract (EN)

"Menam Dystopıa" is a short film which focuses on dystopian narrative genre examining the city-memory relationship in the near future. Theme of the film which is this transformation surrounded by futuristic structures of the urban architecture, was realised via imaginary center called the city memory institute. This center has chosen to sever the ties of the past with the purpose of making it easy for the residents to adapt to the new period. Its purpose is to destroy collective memory. The "deep" institute employee opposes the disappearance of this urban-memory link that makes human life meaningful. Therefore; the last memory of the city from the previous memory of the city was stolen from the memory center by her. This chase that takes place in the contrast of futuristic buildings and ruined castles leads us to an unexpected end. This phase, in which, the historical memory of the city is being erased, shall be finalised by eliminating the memory records of people. This work, which has the character of atmos "finishing competence" in art of cinema, contains a dystopian atmosphere which we rarely encounter in Turkish cinema. In this study, the concept of past, present and future is interrelated. Therefore; There is a non-linear fictional time conception. Some parts of the study also include science fiction. In summary, the new and experimental cinematographic narration has been displayed in this study.
