Abstract (EN)

In the financial system, on one side is a group of people who do not consume their income completely and have fund surplus, on the other side those who are in need of fund. In spite of the regulations the fact that information which is the raw material of investment decisions is impossible to be reached by both parties at the same time and completely. Because financial institutions are experienced in this field and specialized, savers benefit from the help of these expert institutions. Due to the need required by market investment consultation has come out and become a profession. Individual investors look for various strategies and try to implement them successfully to maximize their profits. They consult investment consultants in decision-taking process, taking efficient consultation information and strategies from them. In this study it is aimed to search how and in which way the investment consultants directing the investors make their own investments and what their income, consumption, saving and investment tendencies.In the study investment tendencies of 1618 people who are registered in Turkish Association of Capital Market Intermediary Institutions Licensing and Registration System as of 2008 and have Capital Market Activities Advanced Certificate are tried to be found out. With this study investment tendencies of investment consultants for investors will be determined and so, general trends, attitudes and ideas will come out offering new perspectives for future investors.Key words: investment, saving, tendency, investment consultation, intermediary institution
