Abstract (EN)
This study was conducted to investigate the effect of ontogenetic variability for yield and other importect agronomic traits in the Mentha arvensis var. piperascens (L.) Holmes during 2012 and 2013 cropping season 3 replications at reserch and implementation areas of Depertment of Field Crops, Faculty of Agriculture University of Çukurova. The molecular analysis was done from DNA isolation of 22 randomly seleceted M. arvensis genotypes with 9 ISSR primers. In this study the effects of three different cutting times (pre blooming, during blooming and after blooming) on essential oil content and chemical composition of oil Mentha arvensis L. were examined. According to results, essential oil contents ranged from 5.63 to 6.83 % and 6.38 to 8,55 % in the first and second years of the experiment, respectively. Major component of essential oil was L-menthol and varied between 65.527 and 76.098 % depending on cutting times. It was seen that plant height, fresh herbs, drog herbs, drog leaf, dry matter, contents leaf ratio and essential oil yields were influenced by different cutting times at different developmental stages of plant. According to ISSR analysis, twenty-two M. arvensis genotypes were divided into groups, A and B. There were only two genotypes in the group A and group B again subdivided into as twosubgroup, B1 and B2 9 genotypes were placed in the group B1 and 11 genotypes were clustered in group B2.
