Abstract (EN)
Compassion attracts attention with its positive or negative effects on the individual and (or) the organization. Different reflections of the feeling of compassion reveal the concepts of compassion fatigue and compassion satisfaction. While compassion fatigue explains the cost of showing compassion, compassion satisfaction explains the positive response to compassion. When the fatigue and satisfaction dilemma of compassion is examined, the aspect that will strengthen the concepts of job embeddedness and innovative behavior, which are discussed in a positive context in business life, can be evaluated as compassion satisfaction. There is a need for studies that will bring compassion satisfaction to the organizational behavior discipline and strengthen the literature on the concept of compassion satisfaction by examining the positive gains of compassion on the basis of the individual and the organization. The aim of this study, which was carried out with the desire to carry the research on the concept of compassion to the management and organization literature, is to reveal whether compassion satisfaction has an effect on job embeddedness and innovative behavior in terms of doctors and nurses working in a hospital in Misrata, Libya. In this context, the variables of the study were determined as compassion satisfaction, job embeddedness and innovative behavior. In the study, firstly, the conceptual background of the variables was examined and the research model was created by explaining the relationship between the variables theoretically. Then, under the guidance of the research model, the methodology to be followed in the study was determined and the data collection process was carried out. Research hypotheses were tested through correlation and regression analyses, and the findings were interpreted. The findings of the study emphasize that compassion satisfaction has an impact on job embeddedness, "fit", "link" and "sacrifice" as dimensions of job embeddedness and innovative behavior.
