The investigation of deep drawing features of central hole preform materials

Deep drawing is one of the most important forming methods of sheet metal used frequently in industry. Saucepans, beverage and perfume cans, tubes etc. products have been manufactured via deep drawing method. For this reason, a lot of research are being carried out for improve the deep drawing.In this research, deep drawing behaviors of blanks with in the central hole Al 1050 materials have been researched by using empirical method, which is one of the scientific investigation method of manufacturing. Beginning with Ø 5 mm and increasing 1 mm for each experiment of the holes in central, aluminium Al 1050 sheet blanks that are at four different thickness, have been investigated experimentally to the effect of cyclindric deep drawing. The maximum hole diameters of the sheet metal blanks, which are in different thicknesses, have been established without being failured.
