Abstract (EN)

Clean air is of great importance for human life. An environment that is not adequately ventilated causes many health problems. Central ventilation systems are used in buildings where natural ventilation is insufficient or heat insulation is important. In central ventilation systems, it is important to set the amount of air to be removed from the environment correctly. Ventilation at a lower flow rate than desired will cause health problems and ventilation at a higher flow will cause energy loss. Flow rate is adjusted with air flow control valves. In the scope of this thesis, air flow control valve design will be made to be used in the renge hood suitable for central ventilation system that provides kitchen ground and forced ventilation. For the designed valve, analytical calculation, analysis, performance and safety experiments and design optimization will be made. By adding a feedback element to the system, a feedback air flow control system will be designed. With the feedback system, the amount of ventilation flow will remain constant at the desired value under changing conditions. In addition, it will eliminate the need for technical infrastructure and competence required in the initial setup and will reduce the service fee as the initial setup time is shortened.
