Abstract (EN)

In today's global business world due to reasons such as difficult competition conditions, high productions costs, restricted resources, need for technological machines and complexity of business processes, it has become very difficult for the manufacturing enterprises to survive. Under these conditions, as well as all the production enterprises, it's hard for the marble plants to keep production capacity at the optimum level and to reach the goal of increasing profitability as one of the main objectives. Therefore, producers are in search of improving their existing conditions. It is inevitable to take advantage of computer technologies to find solutions in these searches. One of the most suitable modeling methods is the simulation method, which does not make any change to the actual system but leads the decision-makers in solving problems. In this study, concepts related to production, capacity and simulation are explained, and general information about marble plants is given. In the research part, a marble plant was considered as an example and the production optimization was examined in terms of daily capacity. In the study, by using Arena Simulation program, the current capacity of the system was checked and by calculating the optimum production capacity, some suggestions have been developed.
