A research on the investigation and development of the agricultural and structural properties of greenhouses in Adanalıoğlu region in Mersin

This study was carried out to determine the agricultural and structural situation of the greenhouses in Adanalıoğlu region of Mersin and to determine the structural and technical problems. Agricultural information in greenhouse enterprises in the research region and material information used in greenhouses were determined by one-to-one survey in the field. The products, greenhouse types and construction techniques were determined by the survey, measurement, observation and photography studies conducted in the region. 95.2% of the surveyed producers are cultivating pepper due to the climatic conditions and economic value of the region. All of the greenhouses are covered with plastic. Greenhouse materials are made of steel profile or steel pipe. It was found that all of the greenhouses were without a project and that they were established by the craftsmen in the surrounding area. It has been determined that there are problems in ventilation, heating and irrigation planning in the greenhouses in the region. As a result, recommendations were made to the producers who identified the current status and requirements of the greenhouses in the region.
