Özet (EN)

Urothelial carcinoma, which has high risk of recurrence and progression, is important for diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. It's more common in men and older ages. Tumor stage and histological grade are important parameters that guide treatment. Alarin, novel member of galaninergic system, consists of 25 aminoacids by modification of GALP mRNA as result of exclusion of exon 3. Although receptors aren't from group of galanin receptors, its some effects are similar to galanin. Asprosin is glucogenic hormone released from white adipocytes. C-terminal cleavage product of profibrillin, stimulates gluconeogenesis by G protein- cAMP- PKA pathway. Between January 2010- May 2018, 75 patients who were diagnosed with urothelial carcinoma in pTa, pT1 and pT2 stages and 25 patients without any lesions were included in our study. The relationship between patients' stages and alarin and asprosin was evaluated statistically. Alarin immunoreactivity compared to control group as result of immunohistochemical evaluations; it's statistically significantly decreased in pTa (p <0.001), pT1 (p <0.001) and pT2 (p <0.001) groups. However, no relation could be demonstrated between tumor stage and alarin. Compared to control group, asprosine immunoreactivity; although it's statistically significantly decreased in pTa (p <0.001), pT1 (p <0.001) and pT2 (p <0.001) groups, it's statistically significant asprosin immunoreactivity in pT1 (p = 0.002) and pT2 (p = 0.028) groups. While significant decrease was observed, no relationship was observed between pT1 and pT2 groups (p = 0.834). In this study, it's aimed to investigate relationship between alarin and asprosin, which play role energy metabolism, with urothelial carcinoma stage and grading. Key Words: Bladder, Urothelial Carcinoma, Alarin, Asprosin
