Professional ethic, determination of teachers' thoughts on teacher professional ethic

In this Thesis, it is aimed to examine Ethics, Professional Ethics and Determine Teachers' Thoughts on Teacher Professional Ethics. For being able to do this, different kinds of methots and techniques were used. The study was designed as a correlational survey. The universe is some high schools in Alanya district of ANTALYA and the sampling consists of the teachers who work at public state schools in Alanya during 2017-2018 educational academic year. The volunteer participants were randomly selected from the sampling schools and 215 teachers accepted to participate in the study. In the study, quantitative research techiques were used. But also, the datas were gathered through document scanning, printed academic sources such as thesis of universities, related books, useful journals, and articles about the teacher training programmes in some EU countries and Turkey for theoretical framework. Also "questionares about Personal Information Form" and "Scale of Ethical Behaviours for Teachers" were handled to the sampling teachers. Some of the questionares were gathered at he same time and some of them were gathered from the teachers a few days later. It was accepted that the questionares are suitable for the research and reliable, teachers answered the questions sincerely and truely, the scanned documents and sources of the documents are reliable and related with the aimed research. While doing the study some questions, such as; are there important difference about ethic perceptions between teacher according to their demographic features and according to their answers? The data were analyzed using SPSS software programme. During the analysis, frequency and percentage tables, means of item scores, T-test, ANOVA and such kind of analizes were done. It was found out from the findings that the teachers, who participated in the study considered themselves to behave in accordance with the teacher prossiaonal ethic conceptions. Paying attention to the search result, some comments and suggestions can be given, the result of study shows that teachers in Turkish education system consider themselves to behave in an ethic way. Education shouldn't be limited with only teaching theoric information. Ethical subjects and other velues education should be payed more attention by principals, teachers, students, families. If we obey ethical rules, we can grow up better ethical generations.
