Abstract (EN)
Nowadays, there is change in every area. Changes occur everyday in many issues such as our points of views and ideas, life styles and technology that we use. These fast changes in social life and technology, enforces change in educational organisations like every individual and organisation. Otherwise, the desired improvement, quality and productivity can not be acquired, goals can not be achieved. Due to this reason and many similar reasons, change is obligatory. By means of this research, determination of the factors enforcing change in vocational high schools which is an educational organisation and the effective levels of this factors is aimed.This research which has a descriptive characteristic,is achieved with participation of teachers working in Vocational High Schools in Istanbul in 2008-2009 education year. In order to provide the data required in research,a two part survey has been conducted. No identity information is demanded from teachers,for the purpose of having them fill the surveys sincerely and reflect their ideas in a honest way.The erroneous and incomplete surveys are excluded.The computer program SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) is used in the analysis of the research data.As a result of this research, the factors enforcing teachers, students, administrators and parents in vocational high schools to change and their effective levels are determined. By means of the results obtained from the research, suggestions are made about the required changes in educational organisations.Keywords: Change, Evolution, Vocational High SchoolNovember, 2008Çiğdem ERGİN
