Online application of modular evaluation exam in vocational high school

Turkey signed strengthening the Vocational Education and training system Project with EU on 4th July, 2000 in order to reach EU standards in Vocational Education System Technical studies started in 2002 and as a result along with the 2005-2006 educational year modular system began to be used in pilot zones. And with 2006-2007 Educational year (SVET) began to be practiced in all secondary education institutions giving vocational and technical education.The final aim of the project is establishing a strong and qualified education system enhancing the quality of laborforce and training professionals in their branches. Thus, while determining the individual abilities of students modular evalution has an important place. In the scope of SVET in secondary education institutions at 10th,11th and 12th grades all of the students take modular evaluation exam without taking into consideration their branches of study.In this study an application called Module Evaluation Exam system was developed to make online module evaluation exams. Having an easy use, being open to be improved, providing a great deal of saving in terms of paper, time and laborforce consuming, module evaluation exam system is a highly available software. Being suitable to be applied online, giving a direct feedback both to students and teachers and transfering statistical results are among the important qualities of the system.In Module Evaluation Exam system ASP is used as the language of the programme, Ms Access ( when necessary SQL server) as database and in necessary areas AJAX (Asynchronous Javascpript and XML) technique is used. While encoding, XHTML, CSS and Javascript are often made use of since those are modern applications.
