The effect of electronic circuit application carried out by using computer aided clear ended test software to academic success and its permanence at the atelier lectures of vacational high schools

In this study, the effect of electronic circuit application carried out by usingcomputer aided open-ended test software to academic achievement and retention atatelier lecture of vacational high school has been investigated.The research was carried out at Yüreğir İstanbul Stocks and Bonds ExchangeIndustry Vacational High School located in Adana city's Seyhan district in 2005/2006educational calendar's first semester. Firstly, two classrooms were chosen randomlyfrom among the all of the 2nd grade classrooms. Secondly, one of these classroomswere determined as experimental group and the other one as control group.Experimental group consists of 33 students and control group consists of 32 students.While experimental group?s lecture was thought with computer-aided open-endeded experiment sofware by resercher, the control group studied the same subjectwith their teacher at atelier.At the end of the study, a significant academic achievement difference wasfound about final test scores between experimental and control groups in the favour ofexperimental group, but a significant difference was not determined between theretention of learning scores of the groups.Key words; computer aided education, imitation package, simulation, electronic
