Profession preparation and employment perceptions of the vocational school students: Çorlu Anatolian Medical Vocational School

In this survey, it?s aimed to determine the profession preparation and employment performances by the help of the field study which was prepared in the light of conceptual frame. The datas which was acquired from the answers, were commented by interpreting with appropriate statistical methods and tabulating.The survey population is composed of 11th and 12th class students of the secondary schools which supply education in health domain within Tekirdag provincial borders. The survey sampling is composed of 11th and 12th class students selected from the survey population studying in Corlu Anatolian Medical Vocational School.In the study carried out, it was determined that the students regard the education in the school as vocational self-confidence building in the required field and quality and appropriate for the job field. It was determined that the vocational practices present the opportunity for implementing the theorical knowledge, detecting and removing the weak aspects, and usage of modern tools. Despite these positive comments, according to the analysis results, it was determined that lessons in the school are not practice-oriented, the lesson content is not sufficient in profession preparation and the sufficient practice opportunities are not supplied for the interns in the vocational practice fields. Furthermore, it is determined that the students have such opinions that the school does not supply required sufficiency for employment and students will have difficulty in finding a job after graduating.In conclusion, for the medical vocational schools to be more effective in profession preparation and employment, the students should be informed concerning the vocational education, following the innovations regarding the profession and developing the education programs in accordance with these, informing the students about the importance of the vocational educating, assigning the students in their vocational practice areas in appropriate places by providing the required communication between the organizations and the school and presenting practice opportunities for them.
