Examination of vocational high school teachers in terms of digital teaching material development self-efficacy

The purpose of this research is to examine the self-efficacy levels of teachers working in Vocational and Technical Anatolian high schools regarding digital teaching material development. Descriptive research method was used in the research. "Teachers' Digital Teaching Material Development Self-Efficacy Scale" created by Korkmaz, Arıkaya and Altıntaş (2019) was used as the data collection tool in the study. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 360 teachers, 248 of whom were male and 112 of whom were female, working in Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools in Mersin Province in the 2021-2022 academic year. The data was collected in the 2021-2022 academic year. SPSS 25 package program was used when analyzing the data. One-Way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and Independent Samples t Test were used to analyze quantitative data. According to the study findings, it was determined that the difference in the educational background and professional seniority of the teachers participating in the study caused a statistical difference in terms of their self-efficacy views on digital teaching material development. However, it was determined that the different types of schools and gender of the teachers participating in the research caused a statistical difference in terms of "Negative View" views, but did not cause a statistically significant difference in terms of teachers' "Web 2.0 Development" and "Design" views.
