The evaluation of male hairdresser education programme which is carried through practice in centers of vocational education

The purpose of this study is to evaluate male hairdresser education programme which is carried through practice in centers of vocational education according to the opinions of teachers and students who are gone with.Survey has been studied with describing research method which based on scanning method. The questionarrie has been prepared by the researcher.Research has been studied with last class students and teachers working in male hairdresser department in 12 male hairdresser education centers in Ankara. There is no sample study in this researh, sample is including 23 teachers working in and 280 last class students in 12 male hairdresser department.Datas, used in survey have been had by the questionarrie prepared by the researcher. There are two questionarrie that are parallel each other for the opinions of teachers and students. Questionarrie includes two parts. In fist part, there are personal informations of teachers and students. In second part, there are items concerned with aim, content, educational level and appropriateness of measurement and evaluation in male hairdresser education programme.All datas have been studied in SPSS programme by researcher. Percent and frequency of aim, content, educational level and appropriateness of measurement and evaluation in male hairdresser education programme have been studied.According to the research findings, it is determined that approximately half of male hairdresser education programme is appropriate for aim according to the opinions of teachers and students. In addition, students think as their teachers that this programme is enough about student?s vocational information level, skill, manner and habits. Students think that 3 years education is much but according to the their teachers it is enough.According to the teachers and students opinions, majority of students achive to aim of programme about hair cut, beard moustache shave and hijgen course, but there is no achivement about getting color of hair and stable hair shape courses.According to the teachers and students opinions, programme?s includes are enough with in course, chapter and units. According to the students, teorical parts of programme are too much, but according to their teachers programme?s includes are appropriate for education. In adition, students think that hair care, work analysis, temporary hair shape techniques, getting color of hair, hijgen and beard moustache shave courses? durations are too much. These courses must be 32 hours. According to the teachers, only temporary hair shape techniques and hijgen course durations must be reduced.It is determined that there are much teorical parts of courses, there is no practice and there are too much students in classrooms. According to the teachers and students opinions, during the courses only explanation method is used. In addition, in exams multible choose method is used, questions are understood and enough for easy to advance level to evaluate exact exam results. After the exam results, some part of the course includes are repeated.General satisfaktion level of teachers and students in this programme shows teachers and students join this programme with their wish, the certificate that is given end of the programe is effective on their choose and it is detemined that teachers are inadequate in male hairdresser department.
