Abstract (EN)

The aim of the research is to investigate the effects and relations of ethics and ethical rules on job satisfaction in secretariat, in the scope of professional ethics. Ethics, ethical rules and job satisfaction have an important place and researches done about these subjects have been increasing nowadays.After researching the literature, the survey questions about ethics and ethical rules are chosen from the questions which are set up regarding the definitions in this subject and the surveys done before. For the questions about job satisfaction Minessota scale is used.In the research, 240 office workers are surveyed from the governmental establishments in Ankara, and from private companies in Ankara to measure the effects of ethics and ethical rules on job satisfaction. In addition, if there, differences between the private and public establishments in perception and application of ethics and ethical rules are investigated.From important results of the research is that the perception of ethics and ethical rules changes according to some demographic properties. An expressive relation between ethics and job satisfaction has found in general. It is seen that the private sector workers are better in application of ethical rules than governmental workers.
