Abstract (EN)

The primary aim of this study is to investigate the effects of occupational stress on perceived employee performance, considering the mediating role of work-family conflict and the moderating role of coworker support. The research was conducted with a sample of 466 ARFF (Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting) officers working at airports under the General Directorate of State Airports Authority (DHMİ). The data collected were analyzed using SPSS, AMOS, and SMART-PLS software. The analyses were performed to test the accuracy of the research hypotheses and assess the validity of the proposed model. The findings indicate that occupational stress has a negative impact on employee performance. Furthermore, occupational stress was found to exacerbate work-family conflict, which in turn negatively affects employee performance. It was determined that work-family conflict plays a significant mediating role in the relationship between occupational stress and employee performance. Additionally, coworker support was found to have a moderating effect on the relationship between work-family conflict and perceived employee performance. The study also confirms the moderating role of coworker support in the indirect effect of occupational stress on employee performance through work-family conflict.
