The relationship between the technical leadership skills of the managers of vocational and technical secondary education institutions and the organizational citizenship levels of the teachers

The purpose of this research is to examine the relationship between the technical leadership skills of vocational and technical secondary school administrators and the organizational citizenship behaviors of teachers, according to the opinions of the participants. In this quantitative study, the general survey model was used and the universe of the researcher consists of 405 vocational and culture course branch teachers working in vocational and technical secondary education institutions in Ankara in the 2022/2023 academic year. Two scales were used, namely Technical Leadership Skills Scale of Vocational and Technical Secondary School Administrators and Organizational Citizenship Behavior Scale. When the arithmetic means and standard deviations of the data obtained as a result of the study were examined, it was determined that the technical leadership skills of the vocational and technical secondary school principals and the organizational citizenship behavior levels of the teachers were high. When the relations between the variables were examined, significant relations were observed according to the variables of educational status, managerial experience and duty at school. When the results obtained from the regression analysis were examined, it was determined that the technical leadership skills of vocational and technical secondary school administrators were a significant predictor of teachers' organizational citizenship behaviors. Throughout organizational citizenship; According to the managerial experience variable, there were significant differences against the teachers who had 6-10 years of managerial experience, and according to the duty variable at school, against the teachers working as assistant principals.
