II SUMMARY Master Thesis LAWYERS AND THE OCCUPATION OF LAWYERNESS ACCORDING TO OCCUPATIONAL SOCIOLOGY A Sociologic Research on The Lawyers of The Bar of Elazığ Hasan UZUN Fırat University Institution For Social Sciences Sociology Main Science Branch 2000, Page 160+XIII This is an area research called "Lawyers And The Occupation Of Lawyerness According To Occupational Sociology: Sociologic Research On The Lawyers Of The Bar OfEIazig" This research is determining the present situation rather than testing some hypothesis. The aim of the research is to reflect the socio-cultural and economic properties and to explain the roles, on the social changes, of the lawyers who are registered in The Bar of Elazığ and activates. The data that were obtained by our research has made us to get those results: Lawyers are mostly young and they approach more critically. So it can be said that the young people approach the facts sensitively. Being from Elazığ of the most of the lawyers produce the importance of the environmental factors on this occupation. At the same time, the suitability of this occupation in the vertical movement of the society, it makes possible the people to use this as changing the social status. The inclination of lawyers for the politics has an aim of prestige, not an aim of economic. The lawyers who are not good according to the system (regime), are in hope for the reforms of the government in that section.
