Abstract (EN)
This is an area research entitled ?Occupation of Medicine and DoctorsAccording to Occupational Sociology: Sample of Elazığ?The doctors are significant with their job and with the medical service theyperform for public. The aim of the research is to determine the doctor?s socioeconomicand sociocultural situation, their position in public and the problems they face to.The following results have been reached under the lights of the data obtainedthrough this study. Sample doctor group are found to be young and middle age andmostly married. Majority of them originaly comes from cities and their economical andcultural origin is avarage. However their life standart is improving. They likeinvestment and 50 per cent of them are not satisfied with their job.KEY WORDS: Doctor, Occupation, Role, Status, Stratification, Professionality,Occupational Sociology.
