Abstract (EN)
In the research, the opinions of piano teachers, who work at vocational music education institutions in Ankara, concerning the beginning piano education depending on national music culture are indicated. The research is based on the piano teachers who have been working at vocational music education institutions in Ankara in 2006-2007 Academic year. Having gained all the research groups, there was no need to take sample. Structured interview documents have been used for the piano teachers in this research. The information gained by the interview document has been figured using frequencies and percentages. v At the end of the research, the opinions of piano teachers about the beginner books they have been using recently are put forward and it has been determined that beginner books depending on our national music culture for the beginning piano education should be written according to views of piano teachers and ideas have been suggested about what aspects those books should have. Suggestions put forward are presented depending on the results at the research.
