Characterization and cytotoxicity of metal ion doped calcium phosphate based antibacterial ceramic powder

In this study, antibacterial activity and cytotoxicity of metal ion dopedcalcium phosphate based inorganic powder were investigated. After synthesisof various compositions of metal ions doped antibacterial powder,antibacterial activity analysis were performed by using standard testbacterias (Escherichia Coli (E.coli), P. Aeruginosa, S.aeureus and Candida).Finally, MTT test method was used to determine in vitro cytotoxicity effect.The data obtained from cytotoxicity test were evaluated in SPS statisticalcode and the results were reported.Keywords: Antibacterial, E.coli, Ag+ ion, hydroxyapatite, cytotoxicityii
