Abstract (EN)

This thesis focuses on the process of interaction between the workplace experiences and daily lives of women workers in the Turkish metal industry and analyzes the impact of this interaction on them through gender debates. It view on the traces of the industrial transformation in terms of women's employment in the metal sector. It examines on the impact of the increasing employment of women in the sector, what kind of experiences women while participating in the labor process in a harsh and male-dominated sector, and how these experiences relate to their daily lives. It aims to clarify the impact of the sum of all these relationships on the women's story. This research which seeks to reveal the interrelationship of metalworker women's workplace experiences with their daily practices and details describes the effects of this relationship on women through their stories, while making an effort to make visible what remains hidden in the depth of the everyday. It offers the impact of institutions and regulations that shape the practices of daily life and wage labor process from a critical perspective. This research which deals with the extension of metalworker women's workplace experiences to their daily lives, attempts to listen to the women's stories and witness their experiences through in-depth interviews and observation techniques.
