ABSTRACTMASTER THES SPROCESS NG OF SOME BORON COMPOUND FOR US NG METALS BORONOZ NGGökhan EDGÜNLÜCelal Bayar UniversityScience And Art FacultyDepartment of ChemistryAdvisor: Prof. Dr. Yüksel ABALIThe important of boronizing process has increased recently. The produce of boron compounds usingin boronizing process has importantly emphasized. This purpose evaluation of Kırka tincal inboronizing ore was studied. The studies were carried out two stages.The calcination kinetics of tincal was investigated in the first stage. The effects of the temperature andtime on calcinations process were studied in the calcination experiments. The optimal conditions fortincal calcinations were found to occur at 450 ° and 30 minutes. The recovery of B2O3 99.74 % atCthese optimal conditions was obtained.In the second stage, the optimization of calcined tincal dissolution in water was studied by Taguchimethod. The influence of reaction temperature, reaction time, stirring speed and solid to liquid ratio oncalcined tincal dissolution was determined. The optimal conditions found to be temperature of 74 ºC,reaction time of 60 minutes, stirring speed of 450 rpm and solid to liquid ratio of 5/100. The yield ofB2O3 under these optimal conditions was 98.8 %.Keywords: Boronizing, Tincal, Optimization, Calcination.
