Damage caused by the earthquakes that have caused massive loss of property in recent years has caused many buildings to need repair and strengthening. There are many codes in our country that are applied to today; 1944 – Constitutional Ordinance of the Zelzele Districts, 1949 – Construction Code of the Turkish Regency Territories, 1953 – Code on the Buildings to be Constituted in the Regions of 1930 – 1962 – Code on the Buildings to be Made in the Regions of the Regions of 1940 – 1968 – Code on Buildings to be Performed in Disaster Regions (ABYYHY), 1975 – Code on Buildings to be Performed in Disaster Regions (ABYYHY), 1998 – Code on Buildings to be Performed in Disaster Regions (ABYYHY). The 1975 Earthquake Code have been in force for many years. In general, the codes designed on new buildings have been replaced with the "Evaluation and Strengthening of Existing Buildings" section in addition to the 1998 Code on Buildings to be Implemented in Disaster Regions, due to the inability to review existing buildings. With this section, the solutions of the existing structures in order to estimate the behaviors and damages of the earthquakes, to strengthen if necessary, and to use these solutions for the real approach have been developed. In this study, the effect of reducing the structural damage with the options of column jacketing and reinforced concrete shear walls under the current earthquake codes of a building designed with a reinforced concrete structure to be considered in the current building structure is examined using fragility curves. Three types of structures were applied to 14 scaled recorded earthquakes using the nonlinear analysis method with incremental dynamic analyse and it was also investigated according to the section damage limits and relative floor displacements in the 2007 regulation and the fragility curves were extracted according to the limit values. This study, presented as a master's thesis, is included in the introduction and results sections that consists of five sections.
