Abstract (EN)

Turkey is a rich country in terms of its natural, cultural, and archaeological resources due to its climate and geographical location. The town of Çeşme in the city of İzmir, which is our case study, is a town where there is a great need for private planning decisions due to its numerous protected areas and several special laws that come with them. It is also a very important touristic place. Nowadays, a big amount of research is carried out to ensure the balance in between the protection and the use of these resources. This study based on Cesme, Izmir aims to enlighten the future studies on nature protection areas by studying the related reports, articles, theses and visuals such as maps and comparing the data with the help of the software NetCAD of the present natural and cultural structure and the current environmental plans and its reports. Considering the problems of the nature protection area planning and the damages on the environment which are becoming a graver problem by the day, the studies of this sort have a great importance as they can be used as a guideline for future research.
