Renewing current production process by lean manufacturing approach and an implementation

Nowadays international competency is growing fast. In this condition, to be alive the first rule is being a fast runner! To do this, we should follow dynamic structure of this age and we should open for reforms and changes in our work life. Because of that companies have to adapt them selves according to new age technologies and systems, if not, they should be ready to be passed by others. From this reality, Lean Manufacturing system was developed by Toyota. Later from all over the world, so many companies started to implement it. The implementation of Lean Manufacturing is not for only production, it is also possible to implement it for service business. In this thesis, The Philosophy, The Objective and the Tools of Lean Manufacturing was being tried to analyze. The Lean Manufacturing Tools, which mentioned in this thesis, are Kanban System, Mixed Load and Single Piece Flow, U Lines, Poka­Yoke, SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Dies) and Quality Circles. In Implementation phase of this thesis, you will see system analyze tools and Lean Manufacturing tools, which has been implemented in the company, while they passed from Classical Production System to Lean Manufacturing System. In addition you can see the companies expectations from Implementation of Lean Manufacturing. Because of having roadmap of Lean Manufacturing Implementation, the objective of this thesis is being aguide for the people who wants to implement Lean Manufacturing in their company. The Implementation, which was mentioned in the thesis, was done according to Schneider Electric New2004 vision. It was implemented in Metesan, which is a company of Schneider Group. Implementation was done with the consultant of Schneider Electric and consultant of company PPC (France). In the implementation phase, Schneider Electric Lean Manufacturing Implementation procedure was followed. It was detailed in implementation phase of this thesis.
