Abstract (EN)
The new Regulations of the Structures Under Seismic Zones is rearranged and published in year 2007. The ?Evaluation and Retrofit of the Existing Structures? issue which was never regulated in our country before is now exist as Chapter 7 in the new regulation. With this chapter, the sufficiency of the existing buildings in terms of earthquake performance and retrofitting criteria depending on the performance are determined. In this thesis, the results of different analysis programs are compared with the ETABS structural analysis program which were approved by international zones and their accordance with new Regulations of the Structures Under Seismic Zones is determined. At the end of this study, retrofitting project of a school structure is prepared in accordance with the new Regulations of the Structures Under Seismic Zones.
