Abstract (EN)

The biomechanical acting method developed by Vsevolod Meyerhold, considerable attention when it was first implemented. While emphasizing body and movement, this method subordinates the actor's emotional state to a secondary position. Each action to be performed on stage possesses its own mathematics and is meticulously preplanned. Accordingly, rhythm and movement hold significant importance in biomechanical acting. The main aim of this thesis is to investigate the benefits that the relationship between theater, music, and dance provides to the actor in technical terms, as well as to explore the utilization of music and dance in biomechanical acting. This research study which has been prepared with qualitative research method, begins with an examination of Vsevolod Meyerhold's childhood and youth, and continues with his contributions to the arts. The second section of the thesis primarily focuses on the biomechanical acting method and its regulatory elements, and the third section delves into establishing the method's relationship with music and dance.
