Özet (EN)

The main goal of this thesis is to remark an issue, which has been on Turkey's agenda for a long time: The refugees. My thesis aims to tell the process of accepting Syrian refugees and Turkish people's attitude to Syrian people over Halil, the watchman, and İbrahim, who took refuge in Turkey after getting wounded in the war, both of whom are ordinary and lonely people witnessing deaths for a lifetime. The topic was handled in the scale of a short movie by reducing a social event to individual lives. This movie, where two people belonging to two different societies meet in the same place as a result of certain conditions and begin living together, tells us that people can share the life and act with solidarity no matter how they differ from each other. In the movie, one will see a graveyard watchman, Halil, who lost his son at a very young age and İbrahim, who lost all his relatives during the war. To convey what they have in common -death, life struggle and loneliness- tools of psychology were deployed in writing the scenario. In doing this, our target was to make the audience find a part of himself/herself in the dialogues and question his/her life. It was important to create such lonely characters that distanced away from the vivid life of the city or rather be driven away from that life in that underlining the feeling of loneliness as a result of pre-death experience. This is the reason why only two main characters acted throughout the movie. In this movie, where we showed the overlapping lives of İbrahim the Syrian and Halil, the watchman, living alone in a desolated village through a death, universal feelings such as loneliness, death for fear and neediness, all of which belong to the human being, are handled.
