Özet (EN)

This work is related to two main aims which shape the study area of contemporary sociological theory as well as classical social theory. Firstly, to evaluate the principles which give characteristic of scientific knowledge to the knowledge in general terms and to the historical knowledge; secondly, to contribute to the social science methodology debates which are not still solved.This work consists of three integrated chapters. The first chapter provides a general evaluation about roots and context of the thoughts of Michel Foucault, a French Philosopher and historian, who developed on alternative perspective. The following chapter consists of concepts which in a sense are the preparatory of Foucault?s theoretical ideas developed towards methodology on social sciences. The last chapter consists of Foucault?s description of the mission that social sciences has to possess and of principles that social scientists have to follow in their research.Finally, as a developed by Foucault, the concept inventory and the methodological system that these concepts are the parts symbolize an alternative perspective by their focus on methodology in social sciences both theoretical and practical terms.
