The effect of midtrimester borderline oligohydramnios on perinatal outcomes

Borderline amniotic fluid index (AFI) may be an early indicator of placental function decline and progressive fetal deterioration. Based on differences in reported adverse pregnancy outcomes for borderline amniotic fluid, it turns out that more evidence is needed to get an idea of antepartum fetal evaluation in these pregnancies. The aim of this study was to compare the results of perinatal outcomes of borderline and normal amniotic fluid volume, contributing to establishing a clinical attitude in the light of these results. In this study pregnant women with a diagnosis of midtrimester borderline oligohydramnios (n = 50) and normal amnion fluid (n = 50) who applied to Bülent Ecevit University Training and Research Hospital Obstetrics and Gynecology Department between January 2017 and January 2018 were retrospectively evaluated.
