Özet (EN)
Migraine is the most frequent cause of headache. However the etiology of migraine is still not clear. A lot of mechanism has been suggested to reveal the migraine headache and aura. Neurogenic inflammation (NI) is an important key point in developing migraine headache. First time Dalessio explained the association between neurogenic inflammation and pathogenesis of migraine. The headache of migraine occurs related to the vasodilatation effect of local sterile inflammatory mediators. C-RP is a sensitive indicator of active systemic inflammation. In the literature there are studies assessing that abnormal C-RP levels are associated with complex clinical conditions in migraine patients. TGF 1 ß is a multifunctional proinflammatuar cytokine that takes role in cell growth, differentiation, cell repair, immunomodulation and atherosclerosis. Therefore, in this study, we assessed to compare the C-RP and TGF 1 ß levels in migraine patients with and without aura applied to our clinic. Twenty five patients with and without migraine and twenty five patients as control group applied to Dicle University, School of Medicine, Department of Neurology included to this study. Antecubital blood samples were taken from all of the patients for C-RP, TGF 1 ß, hemogram and biochemical tests. According to the study there was a statistically significant difference between the groups in terms of C-RP and TGF 1 ß levels. In conclusion, this study suggests that serum C-RP and TGF 1 ß levels may be a diagnostic factor to differentiate migraine patients with and without aura and control group.
