Abstract (EN)
Migraine is the most common type of headache that negatively affects quality of life. In this clinical study, we aimed to measure the YKL-40 and thiol-disulfide homeostasis parameters in the sera of migraine patients with and without aura, to investigate whether there is a correlation between the severity and course of the disease. 4 patients with aura, 37 patients with migraine without aura and 40 healthy volunteers were included in the study. While YKL 40, Disulfite, Total thiol measurements of the measured parameters were found to be significantly lower than the control, no significant difference was found between the groups as a result of the comparison of the measured Native thiol, Disulfite/Nthiol, Disulfite/Total thiol, Nthiol/Total thiol values between the patient and control groups. At the same time, significant negative and positive correlations were detected between the parameters in each group.
