Abstract (EN)

Mycosis Fungoides is the most common type of primary cutaneous T-cell lymphoma (PKTCL) and accounts for 50% of all primary cutaneous lymphomas. In this study, we aimed to describe the clinical, demographic and histopathological features of Mycosis Fungoides patients followed in our clinic, to measure the treatments applied and the responses to these treatments, the course and progression of the disease in these patients. Patients diagnosed with MF between January 2010 and January 2020 in the outpatient clinic of Akdeniz University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Dermatology and Venereal Diseases were included in this study. A total of 120 patients were included in the study. At the time of diagnosis, 35 (35.7%) were at stage 1A, 47 (48.0%) at stage 1B, 10 (10.2%) at stage 2A, 2 (2.0%) at stage 2B, 2 at stage 3A (2.0%), 1 (1.0%) stage 4A1 and 1 (1.0%) stage 4A2. When the stage of the lesions of 113 patients was examined, it was determined that there were 61 (54.0%) patients in the patch stage, 47 (41.6%) in the plaque stage, and 5 (4.4%) in the tumor stage. When the progression status was examined according to tumor and lesion stage, a significant difference was found in the analysis performed according to the T staging system. The progression rates are 13.3% in T1 stage, 18.2% in T2 stage, and 66.7% in T3 and T4 stages. When the responses of the patients at the last control were analyzed according to the tumor and lesion stage, it was found that 88.9% of the patients in the T1 stage gave a partial response and 11.1% showed complete remission; 83.3% of those in T2 stage gave partial response, 14.6% showed complete remission and 1 patient (2.1%) in this stage died; All of those in T3 stage gave partial response; It is seen that 50.0% of those in T4 stage gave a partial response, 25.0% entered complete remission and again 25.0% died. MF is a slowly progressing tumoral disease, and in our study, in accordance with the literature, in early-stage patients, disease progression and treatment responses were found to be better than late-stage patients.
