Abstract (EN)
Yeast fungi are widely distributed in nature. Candida is frequently recovered as an opportunistic yeast fungi pathogen in humans. Candida species belonging to the family Cryptococcoceae are usually found in mucocutaneous membrane and gastrointestinal tract. The frequency of opportunistic fungal infections has increased because of immune deficiency or anatomic defects, invasive essays and cytotoxic chemothreapy. Increasing application of empirical antifungal treatments have emerged resistant Non- albicans species. All these factors have arised the importance of identification and the susceptibility tests of yeast fungi.VITEK 2 Compact System is an automated system for identification and susceptibility testing and it is easy to use, rapid and. also easy for laboratory staff to prepare. Out of 129 yeast like fungi isolated from samples 48.06% of them were C . albicans. The most frequently isolated non-albicans Candida species were 17.82% C. glabrata , 11,62% C. tropicalis, 7.75% C. parapsilosis, 6.20% C. kefry, 3.10% C. lipolytica , 3.10% C .dupliniensis , 2.32% C .krusei respectively.. The rates of antifungal resistance were 3,87% for Fluconazole, 0,775% for Voriconazole and 0,775% for Amphotericin B. All starins were susceptible to Flucitozine. The study outcomes were consisted with previous studies and have suggested about the type distrubution and resistance rates in our hospital. In this study we aimed to identify and detect the antifungal susceptibility rates so that the outcomes will provide for effective utilization of resources both for university and state economy.
