Main language teaching methods used in the 8th grade Kurdî/ Kurmancî book of the Ministry of National Education

When teaching a foreign language, many language teaching methods are used. Language teaching is increasing in today's world and people are encountering many different methods every day. Many language teaching methods have been used in history, and when using these language teaching methods, it is checked whether they are suitable for the student's needs, goals, and objectives. Language teaching methods that are not suitable for the needs of the student lose their effect over time or cannot be used at the desired level. Especially after the first world war, many different language teaching methods emerged, and many of them are still used in today's world. With this research we have done, the ministry of national education has examined the teaching methods used for teaching Kurdish in the eighth Grade book Kurdi /Kurmanci, identified positive and negative aspects, and carried out studies and evaluations to eliminate the negative aspects. This study is a qualitative study and the information obtained in this study was obtained by document review method.Document review allows us to do a detailed study about the book.The universe of this research is formed by the eighth Grade Kurdi / Kurmanci textbook of the Ministry of national education. the eighth Grade Kurdi/Kurmanci of the ministry of national education consists of 151 pages. The eighth grade Kurdi/Kurmanci textbook of the Ministry of national education was written by Lokman Kalan, Gulbeddin Gulmez, Ahmet Seyari, Ramazan Yaman, Abdurrahman Özhan and Abdurrahman Kardaş in 2023.The visual design experts of the Kurdi/Kurmanci textbook are Ercan Soysal, Mehmet Emin Sinjar and Ilyas Demirhan. he eighth Grade Kurdi/Kurmanci textbook of the Ministry of national education was analyzed and the language teaching methods used in the book were determined. The strengths and weaknesses of the book were analyzed. The Ministry of National Education has identified missing or unused language teaching methods in the eighth Grade Kurdi / Kurmanci and will create a model for the textbooks to be prepared accordingly.In addition, while analyzing, samples from the book were given, which examples were suitable for which language teaching methods, and what happened in these examples were also analyzed and examined.Whether it is suitable for the four basic skills in the Kurdi/Kurmanci textbook is also included among the analyses, and when analyzing the four basic skills, examples and pictures from the book are given Dec investigations have been made.
