Abstract (EN)
The purpose of this research is to evaluate the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment of the Administrators in the central organization of the Ministry of National Education and to understand whether there exists a significant difference between the level of job satisfaction and organizational commitment perception level in terms of age, sexuality, educational level, administrative function and seniority. The participants of this study are the administrators working at the central organization of the Ministry of National Education during September and October 2006.During the study, 426 questionnaires were applied to the related administrators, 235 questionnaires were answered and at the end of quantitative methods, all of them were accepted as valid and were taken into consideration. SPSS packet program was used to analyze the data. According to result of the research, it has been determined that job satisfaction of participant Administrators was found `high level? and that there is no significant difference between the job satisfaction perception and their age and education level. Male administrators have a higher job satisfaction level in comparison to the female administrators.Deputy General Directors have the highest level in job satisfaction while the Office directors have the least. There is a significant difference job satisfaction perception level between the Deputy General Directors and Office Directors (0.05).The highest level in job satisfaction is seen among administrators having 6 to 10 years experience, while the least job satisfaction is seen among those who have less than 5 years? experience. There is no significant difference between job satisfaction perception and seniority. The participants, in general, have a medium level organizational commitment. The highest level of organizational commitment is found out among the administrators who are at the age 51-60, while the least level is found among those who are older than 60 years. Both female and male administrators have a medium level organizational commitment. The administrators having the preliminary certificate degree have the highest level organizational commitment. On the other hand, the least level organizational commitment was found among the administrators having a postgraduate education degree.As far as the administrative functions are concerned, general directors and deputy general directors have a higher level organizational commitment in comparison to the heads of departments and office directors. The administrators who have an experience between 6 to 10 years have the highest level in organizational commitment, while the least organizational commitment was found out among those who have an experience less than 5 years. There is no significant differnce between organizational commitment perception and age, sexuality, education level, administrative function and seniority.Overall, it has been found that there exists a negative and significant relationship (0.01) in the opinions of administrators working at the central organization of the Ministry of National Education in terms of job satisfaction and organizational commitment perception level.This study examines the relationship between the job satisfaction and organizational commitment perception level of the Administrators in the central organization of the Ministry of National Education. It also examines upon the significant difference between the job satisfaction and organizational commitment perception level in terms of age, sexuality, educational level, administrative function and seniority. As a result of these findings, some suggestions were put forward as for job satisfaction and organizational commitment notions.
