Abstract (EN)

sv ABSTRACT The Independence war occurred in our country is a peerless straggle in which ali the members of the nation defended their country with aii their national pride. In this struggle, aside with the physical base, the place of propaganda, which now has become much more important with the technological development, was very important and had played a very important role throughout the war. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk' s attitude towards making propaganda was the Turkish People's luck, because from the very beginning of the independence war, Atatürk practiced propaganda The war occurred both in the battle fields and also in every part of country. In this study, the situation after the Mondros cease-fire and the social-economical situation which the common people faced and also the situation of the occupying forces was examined. In the subsequent sections, the propaganda practiced by both sides throughout the National Struggle was studied. From this aspect especially the foundation of "Irsad Council" and the Anatolian Agent are two striking examples of propaganda practices done. Also the attitude of Istanbul and Ankara presses throughout the war were very remarkable. In the last section, Atatürk' s great ability on making propaganda was explained aside with his personal characteristic. Also Atatürk' s practises on propaganda during the Republic Period was studied.
