Development of the piece rate system prescribed in the collective agrements in national defence sector

This thesis aims to research and compare the piece rate system which isused in National Defence Sector.Wage as the only income, is vital for workers and their families. And wagesystems play a very important role while calculating and paying wages. In piece ratesystem, the more workers produce the more they earn. What will happen if theworkers apply more pressure on themselves to earn more? Or will not worker earnany money if he is out of production process due to any reason? In this thesis theseissues will be analysed in alll respects.In the first section, wage and wage systems will be analysed in general andthe piece rate system will be examined in detail.In the second section, the responsibilities of the parties of the workingagreement will be discussed and specific situations in piece rate system will beanalysed.Finally, in the last section, the evolution of piece rate system established incollective agreements will be examined year by year from 1964 to 2005.
