The architectural design approach a study of zero energy building concept and its application in our country

After the energy crises in 1970s, energy security problem, increasing the use of energy day by day, rapid depletion of resources and visible environmental changes stimulated people to find new energy resources. The energy problem in the world, as all other professional disciplines, took place in the research area of architecture. This situation caused adoption of new design horizons. In this context, the concept of zero-energy buildings emerged and some technological systems developed and performed. In our country, due to lack of legal regulations, lack of technology and people?s unawareness of the issue, existing technological systems couldn?t find enough performing area or developed. As well as this, one of the reasons of limited performing ?zero-energy systems? is to be unknown about the performance of these systems under local condition effects. Because of this, as an evaluation criteria, the issues such as in reality how much these energy-efficiency-providing systems are efficient or in what conditions they are more effective and continuity of this effect with considering together with system cost must be proved with today?s scientific studies. In our country in this area generally review and analyze works has been performed and technical information about these systems obtained. In addition to these, it is an important deficiency that subjects such as direct reliability and cost analysis of zero-energy systems hasn?t been dıscussed enough. In this context, applicability of zero-energy buildings across the country must be investigated and performing areas should be extended afterwards the applicability should be pioneer to potential investors and users.
