Abstract (EN)
Mankind has found ways to survive by learning from nature. The idea of being inspired by nature is not a new one for mankind. The word biomimicry is formed by the Decoupling of the concepts of "bios" and "mimic". the concept of "bios" means life, and the concept of "mimic" means simulation. Biomimicry can be summarized as designing inspired by nature. Designing by learning from nature has been defined with the help of different concepts. The concept of using ideas inspired by nature has been given many names, such as "Biomimetics", "Biomimesis", "Biognosis" and "Bionics". Biomimetic approaches are basically divided into two categories. These are: Problem-Based Approach (Top-Down approach) and Solution-Based Approach (Bottom-Up Approach). There are 3 stages of biomimicry that apply to the Problem-Based Design Approach and Solution-Based approaches. These are: organism, behavior and ecosystem level. In order to solve design problems in architectural education, different sources and different methods are used. The concept of biomimicry in architectural education is included in the scope of lectures, seminars, studio courses in various schools at home and abroad. Within the scope of the study, a survey study was applied to a group of undergraduate students of the Department of Architecture of KTUN. KTUN the Department of architecture undergraduate architecture students, the concept of biomimicry, learning from nature, awareness of the importance of designing and working as an interdisciplinary team skills identified for the topic made suggestions.
