Abstract (EN)

In this study, the precast construction structures are introduced with given explanations. The thesis consist of 3 following sections including The functional, geometrical and bearing properties of precast structures under the topic of "The relationship between functional, geometric attributes of precast building elements and bearing systems in Architecture". In the first section, the general definition about precast structures is given with the information of where these structures are used in the construction business. In the second section, the detailed information about the whole process of production of precast structures including the material content, planning of activities, production and installation processes. On the subject, the information about relationship of precast façade structures with the bearing system, installation methods and the materials used during the installation together with the information on decorative precast structures are presented. Besides, the appropriateness of precast structures for any geometrical shapes with the examples are presented. In addition, the information of the adjusted precast structures with the natural motifs and the re-production of construction materials used in the ancient history by using precast structures are presented. In the third section, the functional effectuality of precast structures are defined with the information of being used as decorative structures in the history and with imitated versions on the practice in Turkey.
