Abstract (EN)
In recent years, the amount of studies on computational design in architecture is increasing in acceleration. However, it is observed that there is a lack of bibliometric analysis which compiles research on the subject. Therefore, the current study aims to close this gap and presents a systematic analysis of computational design studies in architecture. The main aim of the bibliometric analysis is to monitor the intellectual progression of the field. Within the scope of this exploratory study, the related articles were collected from the Scopus® website. Then, a series of analyses, which are based on article keywords, source titles, universities, and authors were performed using VOSviewer©. VOSviewer© is a software tool for creating network maps from bibliographic data. The bibliometric analysis in the study focused on science mapping and performance analysis. Science mapping was conducted through co-word analysis to investigate the co-occurrences of key words and to identify the relationships and interactions between the topics. The produced keyword co-occurrence network map was also visualized to indicate the distribution of the most common keywords by the years. Performance analysis was based on the measurement of productivity (number of articles) and impact (number of citations) of the authors and the universities and institutions. The findings provided insights into the main topics, the relations between the main topics and research trends in computational design in architecture as well as into the productivity and impacts of the significant authors and universities. KEYWORDS: Computational Design, Bibliometric Analysis, Concept Mapping, Data Visualization, VOSviewer©
