Abstract (EN)

There were periods in the early 20th century when Azerbaijani oil producers produced more oil than even the United States, which established the world's first commercial oil colony in the province of Texas. The book Oil in International Politics, published by Istanbul Orhaniye Printing House in 1928, looking at the Azerbaijani oil industry from a historical perspective, was translated into French, English, Chinese and Russian very soon after its publication. Mir Yakup Mehdiyev's book "Oil in International Politics", translated into Azerbaijani Turkish in 1992, and it's the ninth book of the series published by Azerbaijani independence hero "Mehmet Emin Resulzade"under the name of National Azerbaijan Neşriyat in Istanbul and the foreword of the book was written by Resulzade. In this study, it is aimed to transcribe and evaluate the work, which describes issues such as the history of Azerbaijani oil before 1928, the exploitation of oil, its impact on world politics, and the political activities of world states, especially France, England and America, against the growing Russia, especially the states of Azerbaijan and Georgia.
